my reaction to the verdict

My reaction to the trial: the jury was freaking rigged. I swear to God. Prosecution should have won, hands down. Even if I had been on defense, there is no doubt in my mind that I would still feel the same way. Defense had it easy. Prosecution actually proved their point (as did the defense), but the prosecution argument was amazing. The defense was good, don't get me wrong, everyone did an amazing job. But our lawyers, they were fantastic.

And plus, I think we had a really biased jury. You're supposed to get an unbiased jury of your peers.  Clearly that didn't happen. We've all read the book, we know it's not racist. So that's a disadvantage to the prosecution.

Honestly, our argument was so dang professional and put together and just overall amazing, and combined with the fact we got the harder side to argue yet still nailed it, should have resulted in the jury ruling  guilty. I'm sorry. I'm still kind of pissed. But not really. But a little bit, yeah.
